Charcoal Starter - Instructions for Use

Congratulations on purchasing the Kadai Charcoal Starter, a simple but very effective and easy tool to bring charcoal up to temperature without the need for lighter fluids or other smelly chemicals.

Loosely scrunch up 4 or 5 pieces of newspaper and pack into the underneath section of your Charcoal Starter, and then fill the main chamber with charcoal. Light the newspaper and place the Charcoal Starter in your Kadai. It will take under 10 minutes for the charcoal to be ready for use and you will see a red glow coming from the bottom of the Starter with light ash deposits forming.

It is strongly advised not to let the Starter get too hot as this will damage the handles and make tipping out the charcoal dangerous. Tip the charcoal directly into your Kadai and set the Starter aside to cool.

Warning: the Charcoal Starter will remain hot for some time, so care should be taken that children or animals cannot come into contact with it.
